Septic System Evaluations

Walking through the home to check for items that affect the longevity of the system (garbage disposal, water treatment, jetted tubs, etc).

Locating & opening the tank (or tanks) in order to determine the size, inspect the inlet & outlet baffles, take a sludge measurement, and run the sewer camera from tank to the effluent disposal area (EDA).

Locating & opening the pump chamber, if the system is a pump system, in order to verify that the alarm float and on/off float are functioning properly.

Identifying the type of EDA.

 

Opening the distribution box (D Box) to inspect the structural integrity of the box and verify even flow out of the lines.

Performing a minimum of one excavation in the EDA to determine the system's overall condition.

Measuring the distance between the well and the system components (when the wellhead location can be verified).

Using a sewer camera to aid in locating system components and inspecting pipes.

The evaluation is followed up with a written report emailed to client & realtor within 24 hours.

Educating clients about basic system maintenance and some of the things that can be done both in & out of the home to promote system longevity.

All grading criteria and evaluation methodology used to perform the evaluation are from the Granite State Designers & Installers Association’s (GSDI) Septic Evaluator Program.
 

Sewerline Evaluations

Accessing the sewer line through the cleanout.

Installing a replacement cleanout cap if required.

Running a sewer camera from the cleanout to the municipal junction in order to check for loose pipe joints, root invasion, collapsed pipe, and evidence of sewage flow issues.

 

Identifying pipe material when possible.

The evaluation is followed up with a written report emailed to client & realtor within 24 hours.

Educating clients about some of the basic things that can be done both in & out of the home to reduce the possibility of future issues.

ABOUT

Liam Magan is the owner of Comprehensive Septic Evaluations

LLC. He started in the septic system evaluation business in 2017 as an apprentice with Inspections By Eric

LLC. He became certified through Granite State Onsite Wastewater Association (formerly known as Granite State Designers & Installers) and licensed by the State of New Hampshire in 2018.

 

After three years and nearly 1000 inspections under his belt, he established Comprehensive Septic Evaluations LLC in 2020.

Liam strives to provide quality septic system and sewer line evaluations as well as an in-depth education about how to keep it functioning for as long as possible. Liam does not perform any repair or design work giving him an unbiased lens through which he sees the system/sewerline.

Liam works year-round in any weather and takes care to leave the yard in the same condition he found it.
